In light of the previous post yesterday (on Sexual Immorality Part 1) there are a few things that I want to clarify…
What happens if I have done all that was stated, you know, had sex before marriage, watched pornography, masturbated, lusted in my thoughts after somebody (which Jesus equates with doing the real action itself – the bar has been set so high!), or even had/have an attraction towards people of the same sex i.e. a homosexual attraction. If I fit in the category above should I throw my hands up in the air and give up? I mean if I am still saved and I struggle with these things then there must be a problem with me. Maybe salvation was not meant for me and I should just give up and live the life I wanna live, right? No!
My dear friends do not give up. Let me repeat it again NEVER EVER EVER EVER GIVE UP! That’s what the devil wants you to do. You might have done everything wrong, broken every single rule in the book (I don’t care), but friends I want to tell you that there is power in the blood of Jesus. Look at the following scripture:
I Cor 6:9-11
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

These verses are telling us that in the church of Corinth there were people that had done all manner of wrong things (sexually) but because they had put their faith in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, they had been washed completely away from their sin. “…though their sins were as scarlet they had become as white as snow, though they were red like crimson they had become as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). You see saints when you repent (sincerely) God absolutely forgives you and the blood of His Son Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness
I John 1:7-10; 2:1-2
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

When people have confessed their sins to God (and forgiven those who have wronged them – you cannot be forgiven by God if you yourself cannot forgive those who have wronged you [Mark 11:25-26]) it is done away with and God completely forgets the sin, like it never happened before!
Isaiah 43:25-26
25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. 26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

Now the devil will want to bring you back into condemnation when you already know very well that God has forgiven you. You don’t have to ‘feel’ forgiven but if you do what the scriptures above in I John chapter 1 and 2 tell us then you are forgiven. Remember, there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Is the grace of God now a license for sin? No! (Romans 6:1-2) Instead the grace of God is the power to overcome sin (Titus 2:11-13). In fact the devil has no right whatsoever to condemn us (Romans 8:34). The one who is supposed to condemn us is the same person sitted at right hand of the Father interceding for us and is also our advocate! (I John 2:1).
What happens if I am a Christian who struggles with a habitual sexual sin? Well I’ll simply tell you this, repent (sincerely) each time and continue to strive towards having a closer relationship with Jesus! Never give up! I love what Jeremiah states in the book of Lamentations:
Lam 3:24-26
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

Keep waiting on the Lord, He will deliver you, keep waiting in song, in worship, in prayer in fellowship and constant communion with Jesus. Never give up! Pursue Jesus rather than freedom from that sin you are struggling with coz when you get the freedom you so much desire you will no longer have need of Christ.
Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Look unto Jesus, He is the author and the finisher of your faith. Keep seeking Him, you will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:12-14a; Matthew 6:33).
What if I have had sex with multiple partners before before marriage and maybe I have soul ties? Well if you are in Christ, you are a new creature; the old has gone, the new has come (II Corinthians 5:17). Therefore if you are a born again Christian and you know that you confessed your sins to Jesus, then you are free from any curse out there (Galatians 3:13-14). Don’t listen to the lies of the devil the one who accuses the saints before God day and night but we overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:10-12). I believe that one can become a secondary virgin before marriage because Christ makes us new creatures. Amen?
