Sexual Immorality Part 1

I Cor 6:18
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without [outside] the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. (KJV)

     People actually think that we tell people to abstain from premarital and extramarital sex because of sexually transmitted diseases (esp HIV /AIDS) or pregnancy when the real issue here is the fact that sex outside marriage is a sin before God.
What happens when I have sex (while using protection as the media wants me to) and I don’t get an STD or get a girl pregnant? Is it okay? No! David sinned with Bathsheba and when he repented before God he told Him that, “…against thee, thee only have I sinned and does this evil in thy sight” (Psalm 51:4) in spite of the fact that he had sinned against Uriah, against his wives etc.

Friends, sex was meant to happen in the boundary of marriage only. Just because everybody is doing it doesn’t make it right. God never goes with the crowd, I mean just look at the case of Noah (only 8 people were saved) and that of Lot (only 3 people were saved). Remember that Jesus said that before He returns the times in the earth will be like the days of Noah, like the days of Lot (Luke 17:26-33).

Ephesians 5:3
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; (KJV)

     Why does God consistently tell us in the Bible to abstain until marriage? This could be one of the reasons. Read the following scriptures carefully:

I Corinthians 6:15-20
15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

When two people come together and have sex, they become one flesh (I Cor 6:15). Now this has a deep spiritual significance. That’s why we see plenty of cases in the Bible of people having sex and as a result they created something called ‘soul ties’ (Gen 34:1-3; II Sam 13:1-15 are good examples). Because of having sex they left a mark on each other’s souls. When two become one flesh anything can happen. There can be transfer of spirits, character traits etc. That is why the most effective way of transferring demons from a person to another in the occult is through having sex. That means that I could have sex with a person and they actually transfer the demons that they have into me without my knowledge! And so I wonder where my anger/impatience, envy, drunkenness, lust etc came from.

Because of past soul ties marriages are breaking up left right and center within short periods of up to few years to a few months. Grand, expensive weddings end in just a short while because a person has so many soul ties and when they meet one of their former sexual partners they easily fall.

My friends the only soul tie that is approved of in the scriptures is in marriage. When two people (male and female) come together and become one flesh inside a marriage it is just bliss and it is blessed of God as He blessed Adam and Eve in the original marriage in the Garden.

Genesis 2:24
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. (KJV)

Ephesians 5:31
 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. (KJV)

     Saints don’t follow the worlds ways (Romans 12:1-2) but rather keep yourselves true and ask Jesus to preserve you from all this evil. It is only in marriage where God commands a blessing in sex (which happens to be a very beautiful thing by the way, the devil just has a habit of taking God’s things and try to make them look bad). Sex in the right context (marriage) and especially with the right person (the wife/husband God ordained for you) is what I desire to do one day.Would you please join me today?
