Hey there. Yes, You. How are doing today? I hope well…but “well” does have its different meanings depending on the context.
Doing well in my context (which is the most important and prevalent context) is to be assured that you have a personal, intimate and ever growing relationship with God, your creator.
Let me ask you a question. Well, a series of questions. Do you have a relationship with God? Are you hungry for God? For His Word – The Holy Bible? When was the last time you prayed apart for praying for food or when you are about to travel…and maybe you don’t even pray at all. Maybe you will…when you are in danger, shout “Jesus!” or whatever deity you believe in. Will God answer you then? No. “Why?!” you ask. Here’s the answer:
See, the Lord’s hand is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Rather, your iniquities have been barriers between you and your God and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue mutters wickedness. No one brings suit justly, no one goes to law honestly; they rely on empty pleas, they speak lies, conceiving mischief and begetting iniquity – Isaiah 59:1-4.

Our sins separate us from God, that’s it. The reason why we feel so far away from Him and have no desire to participate in things that have to do with Him i.e. spiritual things such as prayer, reading the Bible etc. is because of our sins and guilty conscience. “What can I do then to have a relationship with God?” you may ask. Should you keep the law? Should you improve your behaviour? Or start going to religiously attending church? No! “Why?!” you may ask again. Here’s the answer:
As it is written: “There is no one who is righteous, not even one; there is no one who has understanding, there is no one who seeks God. All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, there is not even one.” “Their throats are opened graves; they use their tongues to deceive.” The venom of vipers is under their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery are in their paths, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin – Romans 3:10-20.
And:
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it – James 2:10.
You see by trying to be saved by keeping the Law there is no hope. No one has been able to do it – “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

What then must one do to be saved? The answer is simple:
Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:37-38
Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, put your total trust in Him. Decide to forsake sin, the world and the devil and follow Jesus. Romans 10:9-10 states:
If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The scripture says, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him. For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Jesus LOVES YOU and He died for you, follow Him. Give up! The law (your good actions) cannot save you before a holy and just Judge that is God. Only the blood of Jesus, His perfect sacrifice can save you from your sins and change you into a glorious righteous person because He will give you a new nature. One that loves the spiritual things. You will be hungry for God more than anything and you will love the place of prayer and reading the Bible even without being told. I can personally attest to that.
I was once a sinner but Jesus Christ saved me and I became a “new creation: everything old passed away; see, everything became new!” – II Corinthians 5:17. But you see I had to make a decision. See I had to respond to God’s amazing and merciful grace. Will you respond to God today and accept Jesus Christ of Nazareth as your Saviour from Sin and Lord over your Life? Make that decision and make it soon. It is the devil’s desire that you procrastinate your decision for as long as possible until he makes sure that you die and go to hell for an eternity without God. Don’t procrastinate that decision. Make that decision now. “Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became believers; the night is far gone, the day is near. Let us then lay aside the works of darkness and put on the armour of light; Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.” – Romans 13:11-12, 14. MAKE THAT DECISION NOW! I promise you, you will not regret it. You’ll thank God one day for me. Remember the greatest words in History stated by Jesus Christ Himself:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed. But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.” – John 3:16-21.

If you would like to pray and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord please pray this prayer that I have typed below. Pray it only after you are willing to lose All, if need be, to follow Jesus. Whether friends, family, career, what you watch, listen to, where you hang out and even the safety of your own life. Only then, will this prayer do something lasting and eternal for you. You can pray now:
“Oh God, I thank you for this day. Thank you for my life and for this far that you have brought me. I have read your Word and it resonates with me, in fact, it burns in my heart. I know that things are not right in my life and that my relationship with you is not good. I repent of all my sins. I ask for forgiveness for all that I have said, done, thought and intended that was sin. I ask you through the blood of your Son Jesus to cleanse me from all my sins, iniquity, unrighteousness and every curse. I believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth died on the cross for my sins, that He rose from the dead after three days and that He is coming back again. Write my name in the Lamb’s book of life and send your Holy Spirit into my life that He would seal me until that day when I will see your holy and beautiful face. I love you Lord, and I thank you for your great love. I am born again.”
If you have prayed that prayer please get a Bible asap and begin reading from the Gospel of John (which has 21 chapters and you can be done in 3 weeks) and then Acts (has 28 chapters hence can be finished in a month) and then the book of Romans.
